Who are we and what do we do?

Brighter Dayz is a safe haven for families in the Wigan, St Helens and Leigh areas to access. An inclusive activity and respite centre, ensuring parents/carers get a well-deserved break, reducing social isolation whilst promoting parental well-being. It’s a place where children and young people can be themselves, feel included and accepted whilst also increasing positive mental health issues through experiencing social stimulation with their peers.

As well as providing services for children and young people we also offer a person centred approach when working alongside parents/carers  to ensure they have a support package to meet the needs of that family. This is done through 1:1 direct work sessions, parent support classes, counselling sessions and multi agency support workshops. We use family play therapy to demonstrate the importance of interaction, we ensure all children are able to engage in each activity we facilitate by adapting a fully inclusive approach to sports, social engagement, arts and drama sessions.
